OrbitAccounting (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides real-estate bookkeeping software at orbitaccounting.app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and password you use to sign in.
- Your financial records — the income, expenses, categories, recurring items, amounts, dates, property references and notes you enter or import.
- Connected Orbit data — when you choose to sync, we import rent-payment records associated with your account from other Orbit products you use (for example, RentalHaus) to populate your income.
- Billing data — subscription status. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data — standard log and device information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your information
To provide the bookkeeping service — recording your transactions, generating your profit-and-loss reports, syncing income, processing your subscription, providing support, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell your personal or financial information, and we do not use the contents of your books for advertising.
How your information is shared
- Service providers — Supabase (database and hosting) and Stripe (payments), who process data only to operate the service.
- Your accountant — only if and when you explicitly invite or export data to them.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Where your data lives & security
Your data is stored in our Supabase project hosted in the United States and is isolated per account using database row-level security, so each account can access only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Retention & deletion
We keep your records while your account is active so your history and reports remain available. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@orbitaccounting.app.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your information. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you rights to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising them; because we do not sell data, no opt-out of sale is needed. Children
OrbitAccounting is for business use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
