Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These Terms govern your use of OrbitAccounting at orbitaccounting.app (the “Service”), operated by OrbitAccounting, 5140 El Arbol Dr., Carlsbad, CA 92008. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Not a tax, accounting, or legal service

OrbitAccounting is bookkeeping software — a tool to help you organize income and expenses. We are not a CPA firm, tax preparer, or law firm, and we do not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. Any deduction hints, category suggestions, or write-off notes in the Service are general information based on common norms, not advice about your situation. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for consulting a qualified accountant or tax professional before filing anything with any taxing authority. Reports the Service generates are a starting point for your professional, not a substitute for one.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity and data under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically until cancelled. A subscription is per seat and covers all of the properties or activity in that account. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals, and access continues through the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial periods. We may change pricing on prospective notice.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service unlawfully, don’t attempt to access other users’ data, don’t disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, and don’t upload content you don’t have the right to use.

5. Integrations

If you connect other Orbit products (such as RentalHaus) or third-party services, you authorize us to exchange the data needed to provide the feature (for example, importing your rent payments as income). Those services are governed by their own terms.

6. Your data

Your records are yours. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or request deletion of your data at any time.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service is error-free or that any calculation, report, or deduction hint will produce a particular tax or financial outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OrbitAccounting and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any tax penalties, interest, or losses arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination you may request an export of your data.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; we will revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
